Special Issue: Beyond_ *Strategies

There is only so much time for strategizing. The goal of an educational period is to eventually take action, wherever your power is in the world. As we begin to “come out” of the pandemic, what “Beyond” strategies have we identified? This theme has two meanings to it. 

The first asks: what strategies we have identified over the past two years to move us “Beyond Return”? What we have done, and what do we now plan to do? It asks us to assemble our scattered readings, notes jotted down in the margins, and wistful conversations with comrades, and to assemble them— literally and figuratively. Assemble into an event, a mob, an organization, a political party, a village, a performance, an individual. Into an Anything. It is time to start building again. 

The second meaning acknowledges that we are all ready to be beyond strategies - beyond the thinking and the scheming, beyond the anger and resentment, beyond the waiting. That we will wither and die if we stay here, that imperfect action is better than planning. That we have been steeling for some time. That today is the day. This is the moment, the infinitesimal point in the center of the infinity symbol where theory turns into praxis.
